JENNY JONES 

Jenny has been manager of Wem Playmates Nursery since 2000 and had lots of experience in childcare. She is also the Safeguarding Lead and is SENCO trained. Jenny is never in the same room, she does everything!! From helping out with the children, to mopping the nursery.

KATIE COPNALL

Katie is the voice at the end of the telephone, she has worked in the office for 6 years but you will also see her around the nursery as she likes to get involved with lots of other things too.

JANET EVANS

 Janet has recently become the Deputy Manager at Playmates and is the Room Leader of the Crawling Caterpillars Room. Janet has 23+ years experienced and is Level 3 E.Y.E Qualified.

KERI NICHOLSON

Keri has worked at Playmates for 8 years and during this time she has completed her NVQ Level 2 in childcare. Keri works alongside the team in the Crawling Caterpillars Room.

MOLLY MARFLEET

Molly is another member of the Crawling Caterpillars Room. She has 4 years experienced and has nearly finished her university course where she has been studying Special Educational Needs and Additional Learning.

SALLY MORTIMER

Sally is the Room Leader of the Busy Beehive Room. She has a NNEB Diploma in childcare and has over 20 years experienced.

KAREN BUTLER

Karen recently joined the Busy Beehive Room and fits in just perfect. She has 20+ years experienced and is also NVQ Level 3 Qualified.

JOANNA SMITH

 Jo has 20 years’ experience working in childcare. She joined us in 2019 and is currently a member of the Busy Beehive Room.

SOPHIE ROBERTS

Sophie began her journey at Wem Playmates over ten years ago when she completed her NVQ Level 3 in childcare. She left Playmates in 2015 to start a family and has recently joined us again. Sophie is now the Room Leader of the Penguin Paradise Room.

CARLY FREEMAN

Carly started at Playmates in 2020, she currently works in the Penguin Paradise Room and is NVQ Level 3 Qualified. Carly has worked in childcare for around 13years.

KATEY DROMGOOL

Kate is a Qualified Early Years Teacher with 13 years of Special Educational Needs experience, she joined us in 2019 after leaving Severndale Specialist Academy.

Kate is the Room Leader of the Lion’s Den and she is also Jenny’s daughter.

HAILEY WILSON

Hailey started here at Playmates in 2017 and is a member of the Lion’s Den Room. Hailey completed her NVQ Level 3 Qualification whilst at Playmates.

DENISE WINTER

Denise has recently joined the team as a support worker for children with Special Educational Needs. She has many years’ experience and qualifications in this area. Denise is also a National Makaton Tutor, so you may see her signing to the children lots.
